So... I've accepted a position as "Children's Worship Leader" or something like that. I'm not really sure what to call myself, but I'll be leading Children's church and will be starting on 5/19.

As soon as I accepted the position the wheels started turning as to what I was going to talk about my first Sunday. I knew I wanted it to be something that would allow for us to share about ourselves in some way or another. Of course I'd need a scripture to connect it all, but essentially one of my biggest goals for the first week is to just get to know them.

Automatically I went to Psalm 139:14.

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

That's us! It's me. It's you. It's your neighbor, your best friend, your worst enemy. That's the boss that's breathing down your neck, the parents you can never seem to please, the school principal that looks at you as if you have no hope. We're all fearfully and wonderfully made.

When you think about it, it's a beautiful thing. Especially since there seems to be so much darkness in this world. Especially since people seem to be so dark. They weren't made that way... they were made wonderfully. At some point in their lives, something turned upside down for whatever reason. But, these people that we see on TV were made wondefully just the same. Do me a favor? Just say that to yourself: "I'm fearfully and wonderfully made." Okay... you didn't say it. I'm going to give you a second chance. "I'm feafully and wonderfully made."

You were made wonderfully.

From the color of your hair and eyes, the shape of your nose, whether you have an "innie" or an "outtie" belly button, if you can roll your tounge, or wiggle your ears; you were made just like that... fearfully and wonderfully.

There will never be another you. It is kind of neat. There are so many things in this life that we can reproduce, but once you've been created, no one can ever be a replication of you. Even your twin won't be you. Sure, you may share some traits, but you were both fearfully and wonderfully made... differently.

So... here I am, trying to decide what I wanted to teach on. I've been going back and forth on what scripture I was going to use. Tonight, just before bed I open the Bible app on my phone (just to check it out since I just added it a few hours ago...) and the verse of the day was Psalm 139:14. My goodness! My mind has been blown. I'm certain that this is the scripture I'm to use come Sunday.

I just amazes me how God works. Then again.. God just amazes me. Period.

People, don't forget that you were made by the same God that made the land that we walk on, the sun that shines brightly, and the stars that light up the dark sky so beautifully. The winds and waves obey God, the same God that made you!

Don't give up on you... don't think for a minute you're not good enough. You're beautiful. Let's face it.. as the song goes, "There could never be a more beautiful you." (Jonny Diaz)

I'm Vanessa and I'm feafully and wonderfully made.

Be blessed, beautiful souls!
